Launching during Frieze London, ‘Melissa Medusa’ was a large sculptural piece commissioned by Brazilian sustainable shoe label Melissa within their Melissa Galeria concept space. The piece consisted of a video installation with large giant eyeball sculpture made with long term collaborator illustrator Ferry Gouw. The downstairs passageway leads the viewer into Melissa Medusa’s lair - consisting of a large tentacle haired Medusa, complete with flickering LED eyes and Max Fleischer inspired cartoon imagery illustrated by Gary to hypnotise the viewer.
